Atlantic Beach, NC - May 30, 2009The purpose of this website is to provide advice, support, and information to any person who desires to change their body for the better through a consistent program of proper nutrition, exercise, supplementation, and lifestyle adaptation.

This site will give you tools and tips to achieve a beach-worthy body in addition to the personal insight of someone who is actually doing the very things he writes about - engaging in daily workouts and eating a nutritionally sound diet.

Anyone who commits himself to a program of physical improvement has to take a long hard look at himself - both inside and out - and decide that a change is imperative and necessary.  If you look in the mirror and dislike the reflection looking back at you (as I did on my 39th birthday), then this website is specifically intended for you.  I know where you are, and I certainly know some of what you feel.

Changing a lifestyle takes work.  Anyone here looking for a quick fix, magic bullet, or super-secret 'trick' that will cause fat to just melt off the body will have to start looking elsewhere.  You'll find no such gimmickry here.  The truth of the matter is that there is nothing easy about giving up the comfort of a lifestyle we've known for years for one that demands a completely different approach to living our lives.  The pages within this site will not only cause you to look inward to sort out the reasons why you made the decisions that led you to your current physical condition, but also give you the tools and information necessary to transform your body.  You'll be exposed to practical approaches to exercise and nutrition that will enable your body to begin the process of healing itself through shedding fat and strengthening muscles, bones, and joints.  You'll learn about some of the pitfalls to avoid and how to recognize a fad diet that cannot be maintained long term.  We'll explore the psychology of weight gain and weight loss and how to avoid falling back into our old routines.

In a nutshell, here's what you can expect from this website:

Nutrition: approaches for fat loss and muscle gain
Exercise:
approaches for fat loss and muscle gain
Psychology:
of weight gain and loss
Supplementation
:
additional support for maximum progress
Progress: how to measure progress without sabotaging morale

When you improve the body, you improve the mind.  The alternate is equally true.  Only by working on both the mind and the body can a person truly transform from fat to fit.

Where to Start

There is already a lot of information on these pages, and more content is being added on nearly a daily basis.  I've written an article specifically for what to do to get started with your physique transformation: Getting Started.  You might also choose to just pick a title from the articles on the right side of the page and start reading.  Chances are you will find something that interests you within a few clicks.

Bookmark this page (Ctrl-D) to give yourself the opportunity to return often.  You can also subscribe via the RSS feed to the left of every page.  I recommend you subscribe to the Daily Blog, since it is where I post most often and announce additions to the site.

If you want to get right into the details of weight loss, start with the nutrition or exercise entries.  My ongoing nutrition and exercise regimen is documented in short entries in the Daily Blog.

Wherever your first click takes you, I trust that the information included in this website will help you begin and continue a life-long journey of wellness.

Be well!

Keith is, quite simply, a well-studied former overweight guy who learned how to remove fat and gain muscle - but never really made that knowledge a lifestyle before 2009.  This website is both a personal accountability forum and a way of promoting the wellness lifestyle to others seeking to make physical improvements in their own lives.  You can learn more about Keith on his About Me page.
