The diet, however, looks quite similar to what I eat in order to drop some fat. I do have a penchant for dairy - I like cheeses and skim milk - and those are totally out of sync with a paleo diet. I think I could seriously up my intake of fruits and veggies, but then that describes just about everyone in the United States.

I think the diet is worth taking seriously for a while, but I'm going to have to do some pretty keen planning in order to pull it off - and I'm not sure Alice is quite on board with the idea yet. When I give it a run, I'll post back and share how things are going.

Be well!

M. Price comments on The Paleolithic Diet

M. However, with what Jennifer and I are lining up to do, we're going to be eating very similar to what the Paleo Diet calls for.

It's not easy to maintain the kind of discipline needed to follow any eating regimen, but as with anything beneficial to you, discipline is a key part of it. And hey...nothing like a delicious piece of grilled fish and a load of spinach!

Keith comments on Share your workout!

Looks like a great workout, Chris. I know about those weekend control problems - you're not alone there! Using a small bowl to pre-measure your pretzels or popcorn can be really helpful for controlling your portion sizes. Many are the times I've sat down with the new bag and gotten up with it empty. Yikes! Hang in there, though. The effort you put into figuring these things out is well worth it in the end. Be well!

Amelia comments on Portion Control

We just talked about portion control in Weight Watchers today. I should really get a food scale. It's tough to measure things out & I don't think I'm doing a good job of eyeballing it. I've figured out meat & veggies. But stuff like pretzels & popcorn - I just keep eating it til I'm full. oops. The weekends are tough for portion control. When I'm at work, I eat the right amounts - because other people are around me!

Keith comments on Portion Control

You're spot on, Jeremy! People have an incredible ability to underestimate the number of calories they take in while overestimating their activity levels. Fat loss and fitness are indeed a matter of calories in vs. calories out.
